Our actions for the program
Tommy
This project aims to improve the rights of youth in foster care. Indeed, each year these young people are more and more numerous, and the management of their rights is archaic and not very clear. Moreover, it does not take into consideration the opinion of the young person, or his legal status after his majority: it is time to change this, and to instruct a European law of child protection.
GAY emmergency
This project aims to protect people who identify with the LGBT+ community, while they are mobile. Indeed, some European countries are quite comfortable or even hostile to the LGBTQI community. We wish to set up a simple mobile application, which allows to contact the nearest ERASMUS mobility association in case of worries, and impose this tool for all intra-European mobilities, in order to facilitate exchanges.
Youth equity at work
The European Union is investing more and more money each year for NEETs, and yet the curve is not reversing. More than an inequality between some countries, young people are victims of a lack of equity: they are not all confronted with the same legal system concerning them. Therefore, we want to compare national experiences and propose an approximation of European laws through a European Youth Pact, and thus promote equal opportunities for young people in the world of work and training.
Working on ERASMUS mobility differently
At International Horizons, we work with mobility in a different way, always with three strong concepts in mind: benevolence, humanism and autonomy. We meet regularly with the young people and spend time with them: every week there are check-ins, with physical meetings, over coffee.

Internship
Internships are carefully selected according to the student’s language level, following an interview before departure. We can offer internships adapted to beliefs, disabilities … everything is flexible.

Hosting families
Our families are benevolent and reflect France: some speak English poorly, they are heterosexual, gay, in couples, divorced, of European, African or Asian origin. « The France of colors will defend the colors of France.

Nantes
A large French city, very young and dynamic, with ecological principles and a strong economic development. Nantes is a big city with a human size, for a comfortable stay.
